Conference trip to Bologna
Every year my new employer arranges a conference trip somewhere, and this year's target was Bologna.
Of course, Bologna and the local area has a very rich sports car history and the program for the trip sure delivered!
We visited the Panini Maserati Museum, the Ferrari Factory Museum and even got to drive vintage Italian cars as well!
I got a Lancia Beta Zagato, which was more good looking than fun to drive. :)
I have collected all car related pictures from the trip here: http://hln.ath.cx/gallery2/v/maserati/2008-09-25-Bologna/

Italian Car Meeting at Autoseum in Simrishamn
Every year at May 1. there is a big meeting for Italian cars noth of Stockholm (see several occations below) and of course the people in southern Sweden wanted that as well.
The first such meeting was one at the car museum Autoseum in Simrishamn. What's even more fitting is that the car collection at the museum was reasently bought and moved from the car museum at Skokloster Castle where the meeting in Stockholm is held every year!
Around 60 cars showed up, despite the wet weather and it was a very nice meeting! Hopefully more cars will show up the following years, and we will probably arrange a meeting at May 1. here down south as well, starting next year!

To start with I visited this meeting twice (its every Tuesday during the dummer), and the photos are available here:

Italian meeting at Skokloster Castle
Several quite spectacular or rare Italian cars showed up at Skokloster this year! Or what do you think about these:
Lamborghini LM200, Lamborghini Espada, Lamborghini Countach (original first version without wings and stuff), Ferrari Testarossa (white!), Osca 1600 (from 1961), Ferrari 275 GTB and a Ferrari 250 GranTurismo from 1959.
Of course, I have pictures of them all! :-)

Garage meeting at von Brauns Sports Cars in Arlanda Stad, north of Stockholm
von Braun has opened a second site (after Skene, west o Gothenburg) in Arlanda Stad, north of Stockholm, and Maserati Club Sweden was invited for some coffee and "mingling".
It was a pleasant afternoon and I got to sit (but, alas, not to drive) a Lamborghini Gallardo and Diablo ST, and an Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The Gallardo didn't really fit me, since I'm quite tall, but the Diablo was surprisingly good! And the Aston was surprisingly bad...
All the pictures are here!

Meeting Point 80
The Swedish sports car magazine Automobil arranged their first meetig for cars from the golden 80's.
The meeting was a great succes and over 200 cars showed up! Since I'm born around the mid-70's I really enjoy all these cars from my childhood fanaties! :)
Don't miss all the photos I took!

Maserati Club Sweden Autumn Rally
This year the autumn rally went to the car museum at Sparreholm Castle
and then on to Arne Berg's Racing team and finnaly Yxtaholm Castle where we had a pleasant
evening with sauna, excellent food and wine and finnaly some music in the common room.
The next day some of us continued to the next event (see above).

International Citroen 2CV meeting in Borlänge
Magnus A (also a Maserati owner, but drove his Renalut Clio V6 this day) and me thought it would be fun to visit the international Citroen 2CV meeting, and it was!
We chose small funny roads from Stockholm to Borlänge and the 2CV meeting didn't dissapoint. Several hundreds of the funny little car with all their funny owners was well worth the drive. I almost wanted to buy a 2CV of my own, after that visit! :)

As my 30:th birth day present from my girlfriend and her family (Thank You all!) I got a driver and raceing license course, arranged by Club Alfa Romeo in Sweden.
It was a terrific day with beautyful weather and I learned a lot about driving my car fast! I would very much like to do it again! :-)
Once again my girldfriend joined me and acted photographer!

A couple of friends from the Maserati Club met, took a coffee and went for a drive with our wonderful cars on a beautyful autumn day. It doesn't need to be harder than that... :-)

Automobil Classic Cars 2006!
The weather was great and according to the speaker they suspected that is was a new record in the number of participating cars!
Unfortunately we weren't as many Maseratis as last year, but I think that at least 15 showed up, not including the four cars the
Swedish Ferrari and Maserati dealer brought - they came with one Gran Sport, one Spyder, one Quattroporte Sport GT and one Quattroporte Executive GT.
They are really amazing cars!
My girlfriend came with me as well and to her delight there was three AC Cobras (replicas), wich is her favourite car.
Some day she'll either build one of her own or at least buy one!

Maserati Club Sweden spring meeting at Knutstorp race way
The Swedish clubs for Maserati and Ferrari had rented the entire track for the day and we had a blast! :-)
I really enjoy driving the Maserati on a track and the Knutstorp race way is a pretty trixy, curvy track that was great fun to drive!
See all the pictures here! My girlfriend was with me and acted photographer!

Italian meeting at Skokloster Castle
As usual the big Italian meeting at Skokloster Castle at May 1. is the start of the sports car season around Stockholm.
There are usually 3-400 cars, mostly Alfa Romeos but also several Maseratis, Ferraris, Lamboghinis, DeTomasos, Fiats, Lancias and a
whole bunch of MCs that I don't really know much about.
All my pictures from the event are available here: http://hln.ath.cx/gallery2/v/maserati/2006-05-01-skokloster/

Maseratiklubben's autumn meeing!
This year my car worked just fine for the autumn meeting with the
Swedish Maserati Club! :-)
I took a "short" detour of about two hours on my way to the meeting and
met up with two other club members in Södertälje. The meeting was at the
beautiful Svartsjö Castle outside Stockholm and we set a new record on
number of Maseratis at a club meeting (again)! It was a perfect autumn
day with (mostly) blue sky, a shining sun and very colorfull trees!

Automobil Classic Cars at Rosersberg Castle
Once again it was time for auto magazine Automobil's Classic Cars
meeting at Rosersberg Castle. Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home,
becaus it was a new record in attending cars! And as if that wasn't
reason enough to be there, we also managed a new record in number of
Maseratis on a classic and sports car meeting! At least 26 Maseratis was
present at the castle and most of them was parked together around the
Swedish Maserati Club tent. It was sure a great sight for Maserati
fans! ;-)
Next to us was the Ferrari Club's tent. They were not as many, but
still showed a good number of different Ferraris!
A great day with lots of sun that shone down on all the beautiful
cars from a blue sky!

Sportscar meeting at Öst100 in Stockholm
The weather was not too good, which I guess is the reason for the few
cars that showed up. Three Porsches, two Lotuses and my Maserati. While
we sat on the "Thai boat" to get something to eat a couple of american
sports cars showed up, but left again after only a few minutes.
But it was a nice evening with good food!

Sportscar meeting at Öst100 in Stockholm
This was the second of the weekly meetings at Öst100 I could attend,
since I've had problems with the generator. But thas is over with now
and I enjoy the car as much as I can!
Anyway - the weather was perfect and there was a lot of nice cars! As
usual a lot of Porsches and Vipers. The Italian colours was represented
by two Maseratis, two Alfas and a Lamborghini Coutach!
Pictures are available here.

Sportscar meeting at Öst100 in Stockholm
Membro invited
members from their different car related web communities to a sports car
meeting outside restaurant Öst100 in Stockholm. Around 50 sports cars
showed up, mostly Porsches, but also quite a few Ferraris, Vipers,
Lotuses, one Alfa Romeo and most importantly - 3 Maseratis! :-)

Track day at Gotland Ring!
This was a fantastic weekend! It was my first real track day and on top
of that, it was on the brand new Gotland Ring!
We (members of the Swedish Maserati Club) arrived at Gotland (it's an
island on the east coast of Sweden) by boat on saturday and after
checking in at the Hotel in Visby, me and my girlfriend went for a ride
in the car on the south of the island.
Saturday was the actual track day! It had rained during the night, but
it cleared up during the morning. Unfortunately the rain decided to pour
down again right after lunch, but at least we got the morning to drive
on a dry track.
All and all it was a great weekend with lots of fun driving with great
company!

Maseratiklubben's autumn ralley!
It was a perfect autumn day in october with blue sky and a warm sun. The only thing that ruined the day was the fact that my generator was broke,
and I couldn't bring my car... As it turned out, two other cars couldn't make it either but their owners were there, going in other member's
cars.
I think it was 15 Maseratis that showed up at this event and that is a new record for an autumn ralley with the Swedish Maserati club! :)
We visited the car museum at the Sparreholm castle and had a small lunch after that very interesting museum.

Automobil Classic Cars at Rosersbergs castle.
The Swedish car magazine Automobil arranges a Classic Cars meeting at the beautiful
Rosersberg castle every year and 2004 was the second time I went ther with my Maserati. It was a great day with good wheather and lots of really nice
cars!
Unfortunately, I had forgotten to charge the camera battery, so these are all the pictures I took:
